Collagen Induction Therapy

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is aimed at stimulating the body’s own collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, stretch marks, skin laxity and scarring.

The treatment introduces a series of fine, sharp needles arranged in a circle at the end of an automated device. The damage encourages the body to produce new collagen and elastin which generate new skin cells to repair itself.  The skin becomes thicker, plumper and more youthful.

A topical local anaesthetic cream is applied before the procedure, making it virtually pain free.  Facial redness will be noticeable immediately after the treatment and will last for 12 to 48 hours.  Most people are able to return to normal daily activities immediately after the treatment. Applying breathable mineral make-up, such as Glo Minerals after treatment will seal the skin and cover the redness if you wish to disguise having had treatment.
