Patients are supplied with custom made bleaching trays to fit over their teeth containing the carbamide peroxide whitening gel (less concentrated than the gel used by the dentist). The purpose of this is to prepare your teeth for the deep bleaching session which takes place on day15 at the Hill Street Clinic, where a stronger bleaching agent, hydrogen peroxide, will be used.

Most patients find that this treatment is permanent although some will require ‘topping up’.  If you want to retain your white smile, it will require ongoing maintenance.

 

A ‘Top up’ procedure will vary from one patient to another, and depends on the amount and rate of change required. Topping up can be done using a home whitening kit or single syringes which are available from the Hill Street Clinic.
